Roy Gordon Joins The Firm

We are pleased to announce that Roy H. Gordon, Esquire has joined the firm as an "of counsel" attorney. Mr. Gordon is a litigation attorney who concentrates his practice in commercial, employment and general civil litigation. He is a graduate of Stockton University (cum laude) and earned his law degree and MBA from Rutgers University. Mr. Gordon was a legal intern at the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and PECO and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael Haas. He previously worked for Bochetto & Lentz, P.C., a boutique litigation firm in Philadelphia. Mr. Gordon is a licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is experienced in cases involving general commercial litigation, the Wage Payment and Collection Law, trade secrets litigation, copyright litigation, cases involving the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Age Discrimination and Employment Act, and covenants not to compete. He regularly litigates matters involving personal injury claims, defamation and real estate defect and construction issues. Mr. Gordon also has extensive experience in cemetery litigation.

Mr. Brahin presented CLEs on Confessions of Judgment & Negotiations Center on Behalf of Commercial Tenant.

Mr. Brahin’s CLE course "Confessions of Judgment – The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" which was presented at the 2018 PBI Real Estate Institute was chosen to be one of “the best of the Institute,” and was presented again at PBI’s "A Day on Real Estate" on August 1, 2019. Mr. Brahin presented the confessions of judgement course again for the 2024 Real Estate Institute. Mr. Brahin presented a CLE course entitled "Negotiating Leases for Commercial Tenants" on the Bucks County Bar Association.

Bucks County Preliminary Injunctions Practices Committee

Mr. Brahin was named by the Honorable Robert J. Mellon to serve on the Bucks County Injunction Practices Committee. This committee was formed by Judge Mellon to review and implement recommendations for practice and procedure regarding Temporary Restraining Orders and Preliminary Injunctions in Bucks County. The recommendations of this Committee have been adopted by Judge Mellon.

Bucks County Business Law Institute

Mr. Brahin was selected, for the 7th year in a row, as the Co-Planner of the Bucks County Business Law Institute. The Institute provides continuing legal education for attorneys and judges regarding business, corporate and commercial law matters. there is typically a keynote session by a judge from the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, and two parallel one-hour courses held through the day. The past two Institutes have been a resounding success, with over 65 attendees apiece and extremely positive reviews.

Published Opinion

Mr. Brahin recently had an opinion published in the Bucks County Law Reporter in a case where he represented the prevailing party. In GOB International, LLC v. Steel Services, Inc., Bucks Co. L. Rep. Vol. 91, 35, 8/30/2018, pp. 16 – 21, the Plaintiff sued Steel Services, Inc. in a commercial dispute. Mr. Brahin successfully argued for dismissal of the case for lack of jurisdiction in Pennsylvania, as Steel Services, Inc. is a Virginia company and the transaction occurred in Virginia.
